How do you fit the buckle to a strap that if fixed at both ends? Does one side of this buckle come apart to allow it to be fitted to a fixed strap? I have a lifeline Eva bike bag. Thank you

The buckles are made specifically for certain Ortlieb bags where the buckles are threadable onto the straps on those specific bags "
